Fiber and Blood Sugar Regulation

I've read some of the questions and answers on fiber but some practioners are advising to take a fiber supplement such as Paleo Fiber or PGX to help regulate blood sugar. I was diagnosed T2 but have lowered my bs to less than a 100 with diet alone, although I have some swings 90s in the am before eating and had a 77 right before dinner about 4-5 hours after lunch. Maybe this is normal and I don't need to really worry about it. I eat a vlc paleo diet at the moment.
