I always seem to be bloated. I actually thought that I had a bunch of belly-fat until my first whole 30, when I woke up one morning with a flat stomach and discovered that I had just been bloated for years. The bloating and pretty much all of my health problems cleared up. I was pretty low-carb on my first whole 30. About a year later I went abroad for a semester and (ironically enough) ate much closer to the SAD diet for that semester. My problems came back, and after I came back to the states, I did a second whole30 to get back on track.
It was then that I discovered that I may have something along the lines of candida/SIBO going on.
One thing that I did notice though is that when I drink (especially heavily), I almost invariably wake up the next morning not bloated (though it usually comes back by that night). Any ideas why this might be?
I am F/23 5'4" 115lbs for reference. Currently about 85% paleo, white rice being the main exception.
