I've not stopped craving it and have eaten two big bars today making me feel really sick, nasty and headachey! I need help!!! AAAahhhhhhrrrrr xx

It's the theobromine, that's why you feel sick/headache. The huge amount of fiber will make you want to go to the bathroom also. Happens to everyone. You'll be fine. Don't feel bad about eating 90% chocolate, it's good for you. Great fatty acid profile and a lot of nutrition, scroll down to the minerals, it's amazing: http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/sweets/10638/2

Thank you everybody! I think the cravings are possibly to do with being pre-menstrual. I had more of the dark stuff today following another craving while I was out and it wiped me out. I feel dazed and fuzzy headed. I have to leave it alone. I was doing so well!! Thanks for your ideas!! I am looking forward to getting out of this dark (dark chocolate) place! x

takes time for the body to adjust to a new food. do it in smaller steps.

Also, next time, toast almonds with seasalt -- melt down the chocolate and mix with almonds.

I did the exact same thing. Eat some fruit! make coconut milk shake: coconut milk, banana (or stevia), vanilla, ice. optional: almond butter, coconut butter, cacao (if your body has recovered). Right now, eat as much as it take to be satisfied or you'll just end up cheating. If things get really bad, make a paleo approved dessert or mug cake. Keep researching all the benefits of Paleo to keep you motivated, I used to take l-tyrosine or l-tryptophan when I had cravings and it worked pretty well.

Don't beat yourself up over going overboard today. Think of today like a test. You wanted to test dark chocolate to see how you handle it. Obviously, dark chocolate does NOT pass the test of foods you should be eating since it's making you crave and overeat. Just don't make the same mistake twice. Next time try fruit or sweet potato and see if one of those allows you to eat it in moderation.
