I suspect that I have H. pylori because also my father have it, I have low stomach acid. I will make test in next days. I started 2 days ago with liquorice root (for another reason but it is coincidence that this is also good for h. plyori treatment) and couple of days ago I also started with Betaine HCL because I have low stomach acid. Anyway something strange happened. I feel for 3 days kind of bloating, but no pain.
I was thinking that two things could be the cause for that:
- Treatment is in process and while destroying h. pylori I get some side effects which will soon get better? Similar as with candida.
- HCL is too strong for my stomach.
I am wondering if the first one could be possible. How did you feel in first days while H. pylori treatment?

How much HCL do you take and when do you take it? A single HCL capsule (600 mg) taken upon starting a significant meal (eg, with meat) should only cause at worst some temporary heartburn. Yes, it might also kill off some H. pylori but not a whole lot (after all, the amount of acid in the HCL capsule is just a small amount). And so I don't understand if there is any connection between bloating and HCL consumption.
My H. pylori infection was successfully dealt with through a conventional antibiotic treatment. It was an awful ten days (felt weak, metallic taste in mouth, severe constipation, lost weight). But I am so glad I did this rather than do guesswork and try to kill of H. pylori through alternative means. I felt much, much better once H. pylori was out of my body.
PS - I took HCL capsules for months prior to being diagnosed for H. pylori. Now I don't need them.
