Stubborn Belly Fat

I am 28 years old, 5'2 and 126 pounds. I do crossfit 5-6 times a week and can NOT get rid of my belly fat. I eat paleo...I do incorporate some quinoa and brown rice but besides that no wheat. I don't eat dairy, I very rarely eat sugar and don't drink much. I am not sure if I am eating enough, eating too much or what is going on but I really want to lose the little extra belly fat that simply will not go away.

Thanks for the advice. Yeah I just saw an article on intermittent fasting so I started that today. Seems to work well I just eat after I do my morning workout. Maybe I should switch it up too...5 days of crossfit does get to be a lot! ha

Good to see you too. I got "paleohacks burn out." Not sure if it's all the way gone yet. :)

Do you get good sleep? Any major stress in your life? Maybe cut back on crossfit and replace it with some lifting of heavy weights and walking?

Otherwise, you might try counting calories for a while to see where you're at, but that is never fun.

I was able to get rid of some of my belly fat that I had struggled with for a long time when I started calorie and carb cycling by basically skipping breakfast, small-medium lunch without starch and really big dinner with starch. It's possible this primarily worked just by reducing my calories, but what helped motivate me is the idea that I was catabolic in the morning (after fasting all night) and then anabolic at night (after afternoon workout and a big dinner). Plus having the big dinner to look forward to everyday makes it easy to stick to.

Good luck

I agree with what mike said, on top of his recommendations to basically carb back load and resistance train I'd also recommend some HIIT, together those 3 things work really well for me.
