Just out of curiosity, Mr. Crip88, what lead you to join this forum and become a fairly active member?

I've been doing this more recently too. Adds a nice variety.

If someone tries to take my beans, basmati rice and pitta bread I will get my mac 11 and spray those fools.

I don't eat peanuts, but beans soaked for 24 / 36 hours (until virtually fermented) then cooked until tender I love. Excellent source of many minerals and vitamins, and some resistant starch, I believe. I actually find that they much improve my dodgy digestion (IBS D type symptoms). I had eliminated all legumes from my diet for over 3 years due to reading that beans are not paleo, but since re-introducing them a few (perhaps 6) months ago, I've found absolutely no downside and I feel great having added them back to my diet. Main legumes I use - lentils, chickpeas, flageolet beans, red kidney beans, dried peas. Only a couple of times a week - but yum! Fermented hummus with grass fed steak - divine!

On the VERY RARE occasions that I've eaten anything with wheat in it since my Paleo "conversion", on the other hand, I find that I have very bad reactions. Asthma flares up, stomach pain, digestive issues - not so with legumes.
