Change in appetite with visit to Bali

I've noticed when I go to Bali that my appetite changes significantly ( reduced). Also even though I start having more local food which is higher in carb I still lose weight but if I did this back home I would gain weight. Another thing i notice is that i get the runs for 1 to 2 days. Any explanation?

Just a tropical vacation eh? It's on my to-go-to list.

Ditto the heat/humidity. My appetite reduces when it's really hot. (Which is why I'd love to move to the tropics, it seems like it'd be automatic appetite suppression for me, which with the way my appetite is and the way I've been eating, totally what I need!)

I should add one more thing though, when I return my appetite is still reduced.could it be all the sun / vitamin d I wonder

Curious, why do you go to Bali?

you probably have less appetite because of the heat & humidity (i eat less when i go to bali or other tropical climates). you probably lose weight even when carbing up because your overall intake is lower. you get the runs due to one of a few scenarios: different foods and sensitive gut, eating something you're slightly intolerant to, or (most likely) bacteria in food that you aren't used to.
