I enjoy tinned mackerel in tomato sauce as a quick healthy fast food type snack. I already know the benefits of oily fish & i'm sure i read that tinned mackerel in tomato sauce retains omega 3 unlike tinned tuna. My concern is toxins such as bishpenol a leaching into the fish because of the acidity from the tomato sauce. Does anyone have any knowledge on this please?
