A brief history:
My baby just turned six months. He was exclusively breastfed until 5 months, when I had to add formula because he wasn't growing enough. (I thought it was better to at least get a balance of carbs, fat and protein instead of adding straight cereal, which was what his pediatrician recommended. I looked into making him formula but my husband and I both work and we just don't have the time, please don't judge.)
I tried to start feeding him egg yolk at about 4.75 months (per Weston Price and Chris Kresser's recommendations) and he LOVED it, but it gave him a rash on his face, so I stopped. I started giving him a 1/4 tsp FCLO per day, and his rash cleared up, as well as his cradle cap (bonus!). I tried giving him egg yolk again several weeks later, but he vomited a couple of hours afterwards so we're steering clear till he's a year old. He also gets an ounce or two of bone broth most days, and he loves that too.
Now, he's tried mashed banana, ground chicken, ground pot roast, and yam, but he makes an icky face each time. The only solid food he seems to love is bone marrow. He adores it. And it tastes similar to egg yolk -- fatty, yummy -- so I give him a little bit most days, but I would like to expand his repertoire a bit. Also, it's not that great reheated and it's kind of a pain to roast a bone every day.
Does anybody have any ideas for what I could try next?

Have a look at baby-led weaning, babies feed themselves, no puree/spoon-feeding etc. A chicken drumstick, slices of avocado, half a banana, handfuls of baked sweet potato or minced beef.

I second the baby-led weaning - if it catches your interest :)
Mine wasn't even interested in solids until 8 months; you certainly don't need to be introducing solids yet ( though I know there are numerous reasons for starting early! )
First good I tried was avocado, after a few times my daughter loved it. She also loved coconut oil - I would massage her after baths with it and got some on her lips and after that it was a matter of keeping her hand out of the jar!
Mango & sweet potato, berries, leafy greens blended into avocado, homemade hemp seed or sesame milk with fresh OJ, were all also big hits.
I wish I would've known about bonebroth earlier on, my 3 year old won't try it/drink it - kudos on that!
And I have to get some FCLO to see if helps cradle cap. 3 years old and it STILL flares up sometimes :(

My baby who is 7 months old eats, avocado, butternut squash, banana, apple, carrots, and the meats hes had are free range chicken from the night before (just get all the meat that didnt get eaten, add some chicken broth and grind it up!) egg yolks, chicken liver (again, if you buy a whole chicken, usually comes with the good insides) and then beef liver is his favorite. Which, i cant stand, but he loves it. I cook it up in some beef broth, then chop it up and grind it down. He eats it with anything.
