Has anybody on here cured themselves of an autoimmune disease?

Anybody have any info or luck on (severe) Grave's Disease? I've seen documentaries where 6 diabetics werekept together and fed only raw foods, and after a month all 6 were 100% cured.

I lead a stressful lifestyle and id like to do alternative routes. I already see a chiropractor 2-3 times a week, and I just started going to an acupunturist. All the testing has commenced and I'm worried I'm going to keep stressing, which is the #1 trigger. I've lost 20 lbs and its all been muscle mass. my heart goes crazy after a shower, and my bpm shoots to 160-180, most times. I believe its the heat intolerance.

Any advice and suggestions welcome

so I am now on meds after yesterdays follow up scan. but I need to start load bearing exercises to prevent osteoporosis. I'm thinking squats, lunges, pushups, crunches, and back to Vinyasa yoga. Muscle wasting in full effect.

Diet free of wheat, food additives (eat real food) alcohol, coffee (trigger leaky gut) , significantly restrictid diary and nightshades. As that matches Paleo I have restrictid omega 6 oils although I have no proof they did any bad to me. When cured leaky gut I have added some diary without issues. My skin and nails are as never.

Sounds lovely! I'm not sure I'll be able to drink while on meds. did my uptake and imaging scans yesterday and the decided to add the word Severe Graves disease. the meds have a fair rate of inducing liver failure. so, I'm just going cold sober again

maybe take a glass of wine in the evenings to help with your stress. I just watched a video with Mark Sisson of MDA and he says he has a glass to help with stress daily since he gets anxious/nervous/stressed easily.

No, I really, really do. I've been to the endo. I've had 4 different blood draws, all with free T3 higher each time. I have horrible insomnia. I slept 4 hours after posting this. I've been to urgent care twice, Yesterday they gave the radioiodine uptake test, after 2 hours, the radiologist called my Endo because it was so high. But we're waiting for the 24 hour scan, so I have 4 more appts today. I haven't been to work in 4 weeks. STRESSOR: gotta pay the mortgage! Right now, I'll focus on me, though. God bless FMLA!

Maybe I need to control my stress more. it seems to be the most sensitive trigger. Although, even just runningback and forth to appts is a trigger in itself. :-\ thx

Magnesium could be useful (but by no means a cure) for your thyroid. It also regulates body temperature, heartbeat and nervousness.

If you have Graves Disease (hyperthyroidism) you need medical treatment.

If your HR goes up to between 160-180 when taking a shower you need medical treatment. And you need it very soon.

Ancestral eating would no doubt be an excellent foundation for you after you are receiving appropriate, stabilizing treatment.

I feel concerned that you are not seeing the gravity of your condition.

Your heart is talking to you and the message is urgent. Get care now.

I also cleared Psoriasis and Leaky Gut after suffering for 15 years, by eliminating the same items as what Matthew posted above: wheat, processed foods, alcohol, coffee, sugar, fungi, nightshades, and minimal dairy (pretty much kerrygold and small amounts of heavy cream are the only dairy I consume). It took around 6 months. I started largely raw vegan by way of a cautious elimination diet and very slowly added in other foods to get to a paleo baseline over the course of several months.

I had crohns, symptoms of MS, celiac disease, and type 2 diabetes. Paleo for 1.5 and all is gone. Doctors are scratching their heads and some even turned their nose up at me like my neurologists. I do not need my meds anymore, and no more spinal taps OMFG. Most of all no more pain. :) I have lost well over 100 lbs and I am now going into crossfit to get fit and learn techniques to lift weights without hurting myself. :) Goodluck to everyone. Oh I am strict paleo, no sweets, and hardly any nuts.

I have cured psoriasis which is considered an autoimmune disease. I used to have it since age of 10 (now 40). Cleared even nails which is normally accepted by doctors as non curable.

I had/have ulcerative colitis which is in unmedicated remission with a gluten-free diet; I think perhaps it may have been misdiagnosed celiac, though.

A family member has rheumatoid arthritis and says keeping away from wheat and dairy prevents inflammation in her, too.
