So, those of you who have an autoimmune disease, what all do you avoid while also paleo? No eggs or nuts for me?! That makes me a bit sad..

Oh about tomatoes and onions... they are proglycemic but they don't really cause problems for everyone. If you can tolerate them...EAT THEM.

No. Those foods don't cause me problems. I just experimented by removing one thing at a time...and by adding one new thing at a time. That way I KNEW WITHOUT question what was good for me and what was not so good for me.

Also, I just started a blog where I share some autoimmune meal ideas. I know it can get boring. I've been doing it for 38 days! www.culinarycavegirl.blogspot.com

Andy, Did you ever eliminate eggs, nuts and nightshades? I haven't eaten any for a little over a month. I was thinking about testing them in a few months. I don't notice a huge difference. I miss tomatoes!

No eggs, and nuts have a delayed reaction, even though I crave them sometimes. But even though I've been grain free for six months, I still have a bad reaction when grains are consumed. I get irritated, brain fogged, tired, and really negative, and just behave weirdly. Autoimmune response right? I really feel better when I know I haven't been exposed to anything grain for about 4 days.

Meat, eggs, and nuts are fine for me.

Grain causes problems. Dairy sometimes causes problems...so is kept minimal. I'm doing very well now...no new MS problems.
