How acceptable is a paleo diet in the Netherlands/Denmark? My diet is mainly paleo (meat; fish; veggies) although I eat cheese (bought directly from independent small producers whenever I can) and butter. I am gluten intolerant so do not eat cakes etc.
I have been working in various offices in the UK for several years now and most of my colleagues (including my managers) are constantly dieting and disapprove of what I eat and keep harping at how unhealthy meat and cheese are and how I should eat healthy grains and pulses and meat substitutes (soy… like Quorn’s soy and rubber mix: https://www.food.gov.uk/news-updates/news/2018/16906/quorn-recalls-its-chilled-quorn-tikka-masala-with-basmati-rice). I’ve even had food I had left overnight in the fridge (chicken curry with rice and broccoli) stolen or thrown away.
I am looking at relocating and one of the reasons I am considering the Netherlands is that veggies should be cheaper than in the UK, they do Indonesian cuisine, which I am very fond of… and of course there’s (aged) Gouda!
Thanks in advance.
