Protein makes you more awake?

Leangains just posted this article, and I found it very interesting: http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/237990.php

What do you think about it? How would you practically implement this knowledge to your work, especially if you are fasting etc?

In my experience, it seems very reasonable. When I go high on carb, I get tired, but if I go high on protein, it tends to be the opposite.

I eat the same amount of protein on LC as I did on HC, so for me the protein is not causing my alertness, it is what I am NOT eating - grains & junkcarbs that left me in a stupor
