am i doing the paleo diet correctly and safely?

here is the general layout of what i do for breakfast,lunch, and dinner

breakfast: egg whites (sometimes 2 whole eggs and sometimes just the white) and sometimes some bacon. but without any salt or sauce.

snack: i dont but i should

lunch: beef or turkey (boiled in water)

snack: an apple on rare occasions

dinner: a few pieces of beef or whatever form of meat i see in the fridge but a very very small amount.

the meat that i'm eating isnt grass fed , its whatever that was bought from a a super market named vons (if you've heard of them). I should be having more nuts and berries so maybe next time i go shopping.

I've mostly been eating alot of beef for lunch and i want to know if this is safe? the layout i have above might not look like alot of food but its whats keeping me full for now until i go shopping again.

thank you for your response. regarding whole eggs, my whole life i was told i should eat it once a week because of its cholesterol. And during my weight gain i did have cholesterol. Would it be safe to continue eating 1-2 whole eggs everyday?

You need to read this: http://www.marksdailyapple.com/cholesterol/#axzz32P70zlel regarding cholesterol (it will straighten things out for you).

Then read this: http://www.marksdailyapple.com/definitive-guide-to-the-primal-eating-plan/ ... In fact read everything you can on this blog. It will change your life.

I would also recommend trying out the whole 30 program. They lay everything out for you really nicely.

How old are you? I suspect you are well under 18, since you are foraging in a refrigerator you obviously didn't stock. You are eating too little. As long as you aren't eating processed junk, you should not worry about your food. EAT and grow and be healthy - what you describe is a disaster. Definitely not healthy. A good diet starts with good brain, and a good brain needs good food to fuel it. EAT.

If Paleo is anything, it's a real, WHOLE FOODS diet. That means whole eggs (as many as you want!) and eating the natural fat that real foods provide. If you are eating conventional meats it's ok to trim their fat (as that's where toxins reside) but you need to replace those fats with clean, natural fats like coconut oil, olive oil, ghee/butter, rendered fat from pastured animals (tallow, lard), and eat fatty wild caught fish and seafood.

Dietary natural fat does NOT cause harmful cholesterol. You need fat and cholesterol, they are the building blocks of cell walls, nerve sheaths, they feed your brain. Time to lose the fear of fat--look where that got you.

And how about some vegetables??? They taste great with butter or other fats!

You're doing it wrong.

WHOLE eggs, not egg whites. Snacks aren't needed, and you shouldn't if you're after fat loss. It's ok to eat good quality fats: coconut oil, grassfed butter, avocados. You SHOULD eat meat, as well as wild caught fish and shellfish, and not just in tiny "a few pieces" amounts. You should eat lots of leafy greens and other veggies. You should eat berries as well as other fruit.
