Starting Out - Food Allergies, Help!

Overall, have had health and weight struggle for a long time.

I had some extensive allergy testing done, and found out that I am extremely sensitive to

and should not eat milk-dairy products, eggs, gluten-wheat, crab, rye and a couple of other

things.

I am successfully staying away from theses things, but it has really thrown me for a loop.

Now I find myself eating a lot of corn and potato based dishes because I can't seem to just

limit myself to vegetables, fruits, meat and nuts. Sugar is still an issue, too.

Any helpful hints for getting over this hump and really starting to feel good?

Thank You.

Maybe buy non-GMO corn if you're going to eat it. Corn's not so bad. I avoid all processed foods, so there's no sugar unless I'm adding it.. maybe try the same. (What are you eating that has sugar? Candy?)

I have all of your food allergies and then some. I spent 40+ years being angry that I have all of these allergies and would still eat them, then take antihistamines for weeks afterwards. I became really sick a year ago and the antihistamines stopped working. I had to follow the Paleo autoimmune protocol, which is very restrictive, but found myself feeling incredible just a few months later, for the first time in my life. Now I wonder why I didn't do this sooner.

A good website to do research on the autoimmune protocol is thepaleomom.com. You will find great recipes there. I wasted way too many years feeling sorry for myself for having so many allergies. Now I'm thankful that my symptoms are immediate and obvious, as opposed to those who have silent and thus more insidious symptoms to everyday foods.
