Breakfast sausage, zucchini, spinach, onions, bell peppers, sauteed in olive oil - YUM! I also really like soup for breakfast, whatever is in season (like right now it would be asparagus) sauteed in butter with onions, garlic, maybe some fresh peas, yellow squash, and lots of parsley - then puree in a blender with bone broth, and garnish with crumbled bacon or seared pancetta. It is really quick, and if you need to you can pop it in a commuter cup and take it on the road. If you use safe starches, breakfast hash is delicious, as is fried rice - but I would use very small amounts of starches so that you don't get too tired later. ENJOY!!!!!!

i was off eggs for about a year when i tried AI protocol. i just ate leftovers every day. it was always meat, fermented veggies, and a little avocado if i had it. typically, i drenched whatever i ate in olive oil if i didn't want avocado.

I totally agree with samc. I used to be obsessed with all the traditional breakfast foods (oatmeal, waffles, etc). After becoming paleo a year ago I just had to get over that. Now I'll have salad, asparagus, leftovers, basically anything for my first meal. I worry more about having a balanced meal than what breakfast is supposed to look like. However, if you want to go more traditional, you can do sausage and bacon and sweet potato hashbrowns. You can also make paleo pudding with chia seeds and paleo bread and put jam on it.

Bone broth from grass-fed marrow bones, when I'm not feeling eggs. Starts my day off right with natural energy from the mineral rich broth.

Eat two lunches or dinner. Forget the concept of "traditional" breakfast altogether. Good use of leftovers. I eat 2 meals only, brunch/dinner, but I do eat eggs usually. Often I will have sardines and fried potatoes with greens and no eggs. Pretty good with a blob of mustard on the sardines.

If I ate breakfast & couldn't do eggs i'd have liver, probably liver pat?? as it always gives me so much energy and is renowned for doing so (google: liver anti-fatigue factor), so liver and/or a mug of bone broth.

I think a mug of bone broth (which contains fat) and a small amount of meat whether it be organs or not is a very 'paleo' breakfast.

You could also skip breakfast altogether & extend your night time fast a while longer, there are many benefits to doing so, increased energy, clear mind, autophagy...
