I was drinking a lot of alcohol this weekend (not paleo, yes i know!). And for 3 days after this drinking session I have had a strange feeling in my chest. It feels like my heart suddenly jumps up in my throat. I get it like maybe 3 times per hour, it doesnt hurt, but it feels no good. could it be a so called "holiday-heart"? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2026377/How-holiday-drink-wreck-heart-rhythm.html

It sounds like a combination of heart palpitations and anxiety. Drinking too much caffeine and alcohol still gives me palpitations and as an ex sufferer of health anxiety, the "what if" questions still creep into my head when i'm hungover. Also hangovers = anxiety, hangovers = palpitations, palpitations = more anxiety and vice versa.

I'm obviously not a medical expert and nobody can/should diagnose you over the internet so if it carries on and/or you're concerned, go visit your GP. You'll likely have an ECG to rule out an irregular heartbeat if your doctors thinks you need it. It's most likely nothing to worry about :)
