Can someone list an Adrenal Protocol that worked to cure your Adrenal Fatigue? I am pretty sure I have Adrenal Fatigue but can not afford to go to a Dr.

I tested with very low cortisol in April, and complained of fatigue. My functional medicine doc first and foremost wanted me to regulate my blood sugar, so no sugar, limited carbs, snacking between meals, protein solid, etc. She said getting hungry and crashing blood sugar stresses the adrenals a lot. The protocol she suggested is mirrored nicely here: http://robbwolf.com/2012/04/09/real-deal-adrenal-fatigue/
I also took some supplements by Apex Energetics for adrenals (I will add names of each one when I get home and have that info in front of me) and got off caffeine for at lest 40 days (now just a couple of cups of tea a week, coffee about once a month). With all this i felt a little better energywise, but really I think keeping blood sugar regulated and not being dependent on caffeine would help almost anyone feel a little more balanced, in my humble and ignorant opinion.
Before testing my adrenals and after doing this protocol, I was also suffering from being sick monthly, like I was constantly fighting off viruses. Another doc that I reached out to online said that my adrenal exhaustion could have been caused by a chronic viral infection, which based on my monthly symptoms looked to be something that I was dealing with. She said I could treat my adrenals all I wanted but would likely not see improvement until I dealt with whatever underlying issue was CAUSING the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis problem (in my case, viral stuff). So I would suggest doing what you can to figure that out, but that may involve some testing.
I only recently completed 30 days of the anti-vrial and anti-parasitic supplements (we decided to try killing it all) so I'm hesitant to declare that it worked (i.e. no longer getting sick) but I have my fingers crossed. Unfortunately my energy levels and sleep are not as good as they were when I was on the adrenal supplements, so maybe I need to do them again.
One thing I've struggled with is finding good info on how to support my hypothalamus and pituitary... if we have to look "up stream" then what do we do for those? I just ordered some krill oil and fucoidan from Amazon after reading a post here on reducing inflammation in the brain to compliment reducing inflammation in the gut by following a paleo diet. So, maybe that will help, but not sure and would love to hear from anyone who can speak to the brain stuff involved here.
Good luck and let us know if you have success with whatever changes you make/supplements you take.

I am pretty sure I am dealing with this also. This is a Website I found that looks helpful. http://www.adrenalfatiguerecovery.com/adrenal-fatigue-diet.html
In my situation, I have small children which is stressful anyway, but my youngest doesn't sleep well, so my sleep gets disrupted a lot. I lean on Caffeine some, but I am trying to get off of it. Addiction sucks. Looking forward to what other folks say about this.
