Going paleo has been great for my skin, but for the the occasional pimple, is there anything you'd recommend to deal with it? Thanks, everyone!

Rinse with 1:3 apple cider vinegar. Allow to air dry.

I sometimes put a homemade antibiotic on it which helps it heal fast. Pimples are little skin infections.

Not paleo, but if you feel a pimple start to form, put ice on it for fifteen minutes.

I dab a drop of essential oil of thyme right on the bump. Another thing that works for me for the occasional zit is an ice cube, wrapped in a paper towel, held to the spot on and off for 15 or 20 minutes. The cold takes the heat out of the inflammation and many times an incipient spot will go away completely afterward.

I've used diatomaceous earth on pimples before, as it's really, really absorbent, so can draw out the offending materials. I'll also be re-introducing it as a dietary supplement once my ulcer has healed. Mint, tea tree, eucalyptus and others from the mint family can be helpful, too, especially in conjunction with a warm water (or saline) compress.
