Flaky, acne ridden skin, weird texture. Could it be yeast or eczema?

I have been getting increasingly flaky dry skin. It certainly does not appear to be normal dry skin, and moisturizing won't help. It even feels as if even the best oils (sesame, linseed) give it a even more weird feeling and can't penetrate. My skin has always been a bit prone to problems. First since having chicken pox at age 17. But for years it remained mild dryness that I was able to get under control with moisturizing. Since pregnancy I have been having hormone related issues and I feel it affects my digestion as well, which has been most problematic since I got my period back 1 year postpartum. I also have a acne problem and taking probiotics helps it a lot, although I am not fully cleared up. I am planning to give HCl and enzymes a try. Hardest for me to digest is actually meat and eggs :(.

Anyhow, I think my skin problem may also be something like yeast, eczema or mild psoriasis. I have ruled out ALL possible dietary causes by elimination. I don't use any products really. I Just wash with water and sometimes baking soda or honey. I have cut out the baking soda before and my skin actually seems better with it.

How would I go about adressing a yeast problem or possible eczema? What natural ways are there to kill a fungus? I only heard about ACV as a toner and just started with it yesterday.

My dog has been having a yeast problem and no treatment seems to help so I wonder if there is any chance we could catch yeast from her. I have a two year old so I worry about him too.

I applied grapefruitseedextract and anti fungal cream for a month. I did about 2 applications with GSE by werting my face, then spreading 4 drops on cheeks, forehead, chin and nose and other parts of my body where I had problems. Same with the anti fungal cream. I use it twice a day. I also applied a diluted version of GSE and antifungal cream to my scalp and the itch stopped. I did not have a flaky scalp, just itching.

I heard of that. But my acne was actually mostly yeast related anf my skin is almost all clear with just anti fungal cream. I will add grapefruit seed extract too to make sure I rid myself of possible yeast in my gut too.

And I get bumps under my skin that seem to be acne but some never surface. My skin often looks red an inflamed.

No it is not! It looks like this http://www.dermnet.com/dn2/allJPG3/tinea-face-20.jpg. I'm not well informed on trendy illnesses but it started when my dog got sick and looks like her candida. It itches mildly.

I have heard of Defense Soap from one of my friend who was also suffering from fungal infection. She used the products of defense soap which really worked for her as a miracle. So you can also try them. Here you can check them out before actually going for these products.

Okay, so with Anti-Fungal Cream and Grapefruitseedextract I have flawless skin now! It is like a difference between day and night. That layer of dry skin I was talking about was some sort of yeast overgrowth an started falling off. Underneath I have the softest skin. Dirt trapped in pores washed right out. I feel like it is too good to be true and am sometimes scared it will come back. Now I need to figure out how to ultimately keep the yeast dead in my body. GSE caused digestive issues. I think yeast should be taken very seriously. Since sharing my story my sister and other friends online had a similar problem!

It was yeast! Guess I am trendy now ;)

My skin is almost all clear with just anti fungal cream. I will add grapefruit seed extract too to make sure I rid myself of possible yeast in my gut too. I have been taking probiotics and enzymes, but that alone did no do the trick.

The only thing that helps me with these issues are probiotics, whether it be from fermented foods, or probiotic capsules. I really love biokult!

You don't describe the condition, but have all sorts of theories already. Yeast/candida is such a trendy pseudo-diagnosis.

Is it keratosis pilaris?
