I had been eating VLC Paleo for 3 or so months and just recently switched to the Perfect Health Diet. My acne has cleared a good amount, but not fully.
I am wondering if the 1/2 lb of canned salmon I eat everyday for lunch could be contributing to my skin problem. Is that a lot of PUFA?
How much fish should I be eating to balance omega 3 and omega 6?

Canned salmon gave me acne too, but not fresh salmon. Perhaps it's the salt, not the PUFA?

Don't worry about the PUFA in fatty fish, because it's very high in O3. You should use a tracker like Cronometer to figure out what your ratio is and decide if you need to adjust it. In some cases, you may be better off taking O3 pills (fish-based) than trying to balance it out with fish meat.

From what I've read, omega 3's seem to be anti-inflammatory and help with skin conditions. I think the ideal ratio of o3:o6 varies depending on who you ask from 1:2 to 1:6. Have you recently introduced anything else that might be causing the flair ups?
