Hello!

I have suffered from acne for five years and been through ?? couple of antibiotics for it. 22 year old male. I read online about the possibility of developing candida from antibiotics and one of the symptoms from candida is acne. I figured I would do ?? test for it and the results came today. Can you please help me explain My test result and if I've got Candida or not? And if it could contribute why I still get acne and feel tired and depressed quite often. Differencr between igg and iga? I don't understand any of it and Can't talk with ?? doctor for ?? while.

Here's the test result: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/412/sss1q.jpg/

Please help! Thanks

If you are very wary of dermatologists (which I understand... I was misdiagnosed and mistreated for years by a few of them), you could try topical mandelic acid, which is antibacterial and speeds up the process of exfoliation. It's been helpful for me and many other people.

Paleo seems to work for some people with acne but not everyone. Acne is a highly confusing disease involving excess sebum production, bacterial colonization, inflammation, and hyperkeratinization. Paleo could address some of these factors for you but not all. I suggest you continue to eat a paleo diet but also see a dermatologist. People who have not struggled with chronic skin conditions often do not understand how severely they can impact your quality of life.

I've suffered (and still suffer) from cystic acne for the last 6 years (I am 28). I went through the candida diet/cleanse for 20 weeks and NOTHING improved. If anything all it did was worsen my acne. My take on the candida thing is that it's a load of bullshit in general, and very rarely is it actually the root cause of acne. What probably helps people on the diet/cleanse is removing sugars and grains, not killing off some bacteria. Good luck. I'm in your situation, and cystic acne has pretty much destroyed my self esteem and social life. I have yet to find my silver bullet.

This forum never fails to amaze me. Many thanks to you for an excellent answer. However I have no idea what a mocusal infection is, I think I will be up all night googling, this is kinda exciting. I will get back to you when I have read more about it. Could my acne and mood be caused by Candida judging on these results you think? I guess I have a candida overgrowth then..which I have suspected for a few weeks since I learned a bit what it is. Thanks for the recommendation, I have posted on there as well!

IgG antibodies indicate either a past or present yeast infection

IgA antibodies indicate a mucosal infection. Mucosal refers to the tissues which produce mucus; do you seem to have a lot of mucus?

The same range applies to IgG and lgA both.

A reading of 0.00 represents a low reading. 0.88 and higher represents a high reading.

Considering your numbers, 4.9 and 26.1, you can assume that you have a Candida infestation.

There's a website that is helping a lot of people cure their self of Candida, and they're not selling a single product. Read the post of the members. There are so many people who say that they have suffered for years without a real cure, but have gotten much better since following the protocol on the forum. The website is called "The Candida Diet."

Original poster here, but under another username. what do you do when you have followed anti candida diet for six months with little or no success - acne still there and white coated tounge every morning. On top of that I have been eating Paleo since last summer. With little amounts of carbs.

Depressed and the acne is absolutely destroying My life and especially my self esteem. I wanna beat it, would be so proud if I found a solution myself but have tried pretty much everything.
