Hi everyone!

I have persistent acne and I don't know what to do. I eat a very healthy diet with lots of grass fead meat and fermented veggies. I am 16 so I'm wondering if acne is just part of being a teenager, or if I can do something/eliminate something to clear up my face? Thanks so much!

i get pimples no matter what, but lately, something that has helped is doing egg white masks a few times a week. i separate the yolk from the white and just "paint" the white on my face. i do three layers of it but let each layer dry for a few minutes. i leave it on for 15 minutes at a time.

another helpful mask is manuka honey mixed with baking soda. swirl the two together and leave on your face for five minutes. when you wash it, really swirl it around on your face to exfoliate it.

Fix your gut, fix your gut, fix your gut! I've battled acne since I was your age and I always thought it would just go away...not so much. I had good results with removing dairy and other dietary triggers through the years, but the acne always came back after a while. It wasn't until I fixed my gut with probiotics and resistant starch that the zits finally stopped. Try this blog post if you'd like to know more about it. Best of luck!

The only things that ever made a difference for me were avoiding dairy and increasing zinc intake. There's plenty of zinc in red meat, but if you do decide to supplement, don't take more than 25mg of zinc picolinate per day and take 2-3mg of copper bisglycinate with it so as to not create a copper deficiency. I've seen people online say they take hundreds of milligrams of zinc...absolute madness. Anyway, always take with a large meal to avoid stomach upset.

I know that having acne on the face is very irritating because it makes an effect on the beauty. So I would like to suggest you some ideas for this, I hope that it will help you.

Aloe Vera, Alive Oil, Vitamin E Capsules and green tea are some effective remedies to cope with acne scars.

Mix powdered Vitamin E into the aloe Vera’s gel and apply it on the affected part.

Apply Olive oil on the affected part of the face or body many times in a day.

Green tea leaves are very useful to cope with this problem. Rub these leaves and apply it for overnight.

These are some natural ways to cope with acne problem. But if you won’t get the satisfaction from these remedies then you should visit the skin specialist.

okay thanks so much! I think I'm not eating any hormones, and I was also thinking about an elimination diet. What were you thinking of when you mentioned a proper skin care regime?

Can't hurt to give an elimination type diet a try and use a proper skin care regimine and see if it helps.

If I was to get out my tin foil hat I might say to avoid any food with added hormones or any objects that could effect your bodies hormones. ( Things like BPA )

I have heard someone mention once that the youth in more remote regions of the world do not get acne, not sure of the validity of that statement though or the reasons why that may be the case. ( It could very well be the first world being over-hygenic or some other factor )
