I have recently been drinking Bulletproof coffee on the majority of my mornings, for those that don't know what it is, it is basically organic coffee, blended with grass-fed butter and MCT oil. I usually fast from the night before around 9-10pm till late afternoon the next day till about 2-3pm. Upon waking though I drink my blended coffee to help with satiety and the weightlifting session.
Since I've been doing this I have noticed an increase in acne, it hasn't been a drastic change, but I do notice more of it on my face, upper back, and back of the arms, which can also get itchy after I eat. I have narrowed it down to three possible foods, and they are grass-fed butter, MCT oil and dark chocolate (80 to 90%) I was eating a lot of dark chocolate at one time, but I have managed to slow it down as of recent, so not sure if that's the issue. I do have an allergy to dairy, but I have heard people don't usually react negatively to grass-fed butter. Overall I have about 2 large meals in a day containing mostly of green vegetables (tubers or rice on workout days), moderate amounts of good sourced meat and moderate to hight amounts of fat such as avocado, MCT, butter and eggs. I'll also have a banana and a plant-based protein shake post workout.
I would really appreciate some help on how to approach this, or maybe someone could shed some light on what could be aggravating this problem. Thanks a bunch in advance!
