How to overcome acute bloating/gas/gastric attacks

First off, I used the search function but could not find anything related. If anyone is aware of a similar topic, do kindly point me in the correct direction.

I've always had a history of gastric attacks. You know, the usual symptoms: skip a meal and discomfort/pain starts, bloating, feelings of acid reflux. My situation has vastly improved since I started on paleo around 6 months ago, my window for delaying food intake has increased from 1/2 hr to a couple of hours. No complains there!

However, due to work and travel, I do find myself going without food for longer than expected. Unfortunately, IF seems out for me, as the old bloat/gas/acid symptoms return. Now, pre-paleo, the usual solution will be a couple of antacids, but after reading up on how they work I'm not going to use them. Does anyone have any suggestions on what foods can help to rapidly relieve the symptoms? I'm not greedy, anything that grants improvement within a couple of days is good enough for me.
