In 5 weeks, I'm facing a c-section. This will be my 5th c-section in about 7 years, so needless to say, I'm a bit of a veteran. With each one, I've become more conscious and vocal about the drugs I'm given before, during and after surgery. That's... (more)
Rice... maybe a white potato or potato chips fried in a healthy oil. And if they give you any crap about it just tell them you're gluten intolerant and your system will react badly to the wheat in saltines, pasta, and other junk. In the 3-4 days... (more)

I've been paleo for about 6 months and all of the sudden for the past few weeks I've been getting super nauseous after foods like hard boiled eggs and on a seemingly random basis. Today I had some tehina with sweeet potato and started feeling... (more)
Hi, I've been eating low carb for about two months. Everything about it is great. I have more energy, not hungry all the time, slimmed down (about 10 lbs, but I wasn't overweight b4). Then football season started. I'm quite a "day drinker" at... (more)

No one should be giving medical advice over the internets. But I ewould suggest finding a new ER to visit. They should at least give you a diagnosis and an imaging of that whatever was sticking out.
My doctor told me I was fine to follow a modified Paleo diet and allow myself some wild rice and rolled oats (I love oatmeal). All the literature I had read advised against these, so for the first week I avoided them completely. This morning I... (more)

Yeah, I had the burping and bloating for sure. Doing a very low carb diet (with taking vinegar tonics or betaine HCL after each meal) for a month cured the burping. The bloating took six months of a paleo diet to go away. The runs I had more... (more)
