People criticize paleo for a lot of reasons. What tenets do people bash the most, or most frustratingly, in your experience?
Basically I started being vegan at the age of 14, then went raw vegan an year ago (I'm 18 now). Basically raw vegan has KILLED my stomache. I get such pains that are unberable and have been with them for quit a while. Cooked vegan was better,... (more)
That sounds pretty much like I began. And gradually it wrecked my digestion and energy levels. Adding back in white potatoes, white rice and mung bean noodles sorted me out. But I do regret the low carb year.
I found this pro-vegan type video pretty interesting. Anyone familiar with my activity on this forum knows I'm a little obsessive about life extension and, while I respect those looking to shed a few pounds for better health, I couldn't care... (more)
My friend is a vegan for ethical reasons, I'm not going to argue with her about it but I'm curious as to what she could supplement with to be as heathy as possible? I think I heard Matt Lalonde mention something about a certain sea... (more)
There have been vegans before b12 supplementation...Buddhists and Hindus in India would get their vitamin B12 by growing their own vegetables and not washing them before eating them, and the microscopic fungi and insect eggs provided vitamin... (more)

Hey, I only recently started paleo less than a week ago and when I do it properly with the grains (really take every single grain related thing out ie. caramel flavor in balsamic vinegar or roasted almonds in almond butter ;( ) I do notice an... (more)
Is anyone here trying to incorporate Mark Bittman's "Vegan Before 6, VB6" lifestyle into paleo? Here is the explanation of the book: http://markbittman.com/book/vb6/. The basic idea is that you eat unprocessed, vegan food until dinnertime (6pm... (more)
Does anyone have a good reply to this comment? I'm probably not going to reply to it because I don't think that an intelligent debate is possible based on her other comments. However I would like to know some solid reasons against veganism. "... (more)
Lets say I had a friend that was a vegan who had an autistic son, and wanted to give her some advice on diet without forcing paleo on her. How do I coach a vegan to help her son? She's defensive and believes in vegan nutritional and ethical... (more)
I have been on the AIP diet for a week. All of the plant based proteins I was eating were throwing "gas on the fire." I have not consumed any animal products for 25yrs. and now I am told that consuming animals is the only way to live healthy and... (more)
I just don't understand this. I mean you can get the healthy fats, omega 3, k2 and everything else from vegan sources. What is it about animal products that make them necessary for optimal health? I can't find another thread that talks about... (more)
Hi It's been just over 20 years since I ate meat, although I did eat fish and eggs up until approximately 8-10 years ago. 15-17 years since I ate dairy and 10 years since I ate grains. For about the past 5-6 years I followed Doug Graham's raw... (more)
My borderline vegan sister is about to head to grad school for nutrition and I am a newbie cavegirl. We always get into arguments about animal protein and grains. Her most recent campaign: http://nutritionfacts.org/topics/animal-protein/ I know... (more)
What is your opinion about vegan naturopathic doctors? I remember one day I was watching a Dr.Mercola video, and in it he mentioned that you will never find a vegan naturopathic doctor or something along those lines. It seems though that now,... (more)
I've spent the past few months following an as-paleo-as-possible vegan diet (see my thread here). I'm thinking of introducing fish into my diet as I have less aversion to that than other kinds of meat and it seems to have the health benefits I... (more)
Hey there! First off, please don't reply with any mean or aggressive comments! I've found that when I simply tell people I'm vegan sometimes they will get very hostile and I don't know why! I've been vegan for ethical reasons, but I also believe... (more)
Anyone else see the irony in the fact that the potato diet has become a popular hack within the paleo community? Of course, it's ironic because the (typically) high fat, anti-vagan movement is accepting a vegan icon's "Starch Solution" as an... (more)
Just watched this video that Jimmy More tweeted http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PutaZQN8R34&feature=youtu.be What do you guys think? Did Weston A Price really die of heart disease at age 58? (more)
What a retarded video. I'm sure it's just as easy (if not easier!) to find a bunch of miserable looking veg*ns and pit them against folks like Sisson, Wolf, and the host of other new young paleo authors.
Ok so I recently introduced my friend to paleo and raw vegan and he thinks they're just fad diets, and I agree that paleo is just a fad diet but raw vegan is really how humans were meant to live. How do I convince him that humans are herbivores... (more)
