Hi all,

I have been reading a lot lately about taking some supplements (as well as going back to Paleo) to naturally reduce my blood sugar in an effort to get my A1C down from 5.8 to about 5 (hopefully). A little background - my dr recently told me I am experiencing reactive hypoglycemia and it's a sign of insulin resistance. She doesn't really promote natural supplements (I'm looking for a new endocrinologist), but I have been doing my own research.

I would like to take the following supplements, but I'm not sure if it's safe to take together:

Fenugreek (I have 1500mg capsules)

Alpha Lipoic Acid (I have 300 mg tablets)

I am currently taking:

SmartBlend - CLA, GLA, Omega Fatty Acid Complex ( 2 softgels with each meal 3x a day)

Adaptogen (another dr of mine recommended this because he believes my reactive hypoglycemia is due to adrenal fatigue, my endo disagrees (type 2 diabetes runs in my family))

Multi Vitamin

Vitamin D3 5000mg at night

Do you think it would be safe for me to add the fenugreek and ALA to my regimen? Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks!!
