What is the pleasant stomach warmth?

I've been on paleo for a bit over a month now, and I'm already experiencing all of the awesome effects (weight loss, sustained energy, etc.).

I don't have a problem so much as just a random question. Sometimes after eating, or after drinking vegetable juice (made in my new juicer!) I get this really pleasant faint warm feeling in my stomach. Does anyone know what that is, or why that happens?

For further context: I make vegetable juice (celery, kale, cucumber, ginger, apple, lemon, sometimes parsley too) every few days, and usually have a warm stomach after drinking it. Also today I had some broccoli and cabbage slaw for lunch and experienced the warm feeling a bit after eating it.

What's going on?

Thanks!

Yeah GERD would not appear to be the sensation you are getting. I think it might just be the warm life-giving blood that you feel. However, if at any time it becomes unpleasant i would highly suggest seeing a doctor in the case of an internal bleed of some sort...

But if it was that, wouldn't it be more painful rather than pleasant? It seems to me like it's a good thing ... but I want to know WHAT it is!

You know how you feel warm and happy and loved when someone does something nice for you? Same thing is happening with your stomach! ;-)

Well, i believe this could be one of severa things...

The first few that come to mind are blood rushing to the stomach to aid with digestion or perhaps a type of acid reflux (See: http://www.healthboards.com/boards/acid-reflux-gerd/906790-warmth-stomach.html)
