Works for me all the time: warm water and about a teaspoon of cayenne pepper -- gargle with it every 15 minutes or so for a couple hours. It almost always clears my sore throat up before the two hours is up.

Wines and champagne have a lot of histamine and usually sulfites. Do a fun experiment and see if vodka (or any other pure distilled liquor) has the same effect.

A day or 2 days after an intense workout I get pretty sore. Are those days important for upping carbs in addition to the workout day? I usually eat a good amount of carbs on workout days, but any other day not so much.
