So, I have read a few posts about people experiencing bad breathe and perspiration after they enter ketosis. Has anyone experienced the opposite? I have noticed in the last week or so, since I went back to a keto diet that my BO has gone away. (more)
I've been having bleeding under the skin which I finally realized was a case of "solar purpura" or "actineal purpura". From what I understand, years of sun damage (from my childhood on a tropical island and years of driving with my arm on the car... (more)
I am in Week 2 of a Paleo reset (my first one) and I get EXTREMELY light-headed, with slowed speech and slower thoughts, and incredibly fatigued within minutes of eating certain meals. Yesterday I had a teaspoon of coconut oil when I woke up... (more)
I just started my Paleo diet today! Well, technically last night. But anyhoo. I had my first Paleo breakfast today, which consisted of a salad with nuts and dried fruit, which I have been eating for years and still fits, and bacon. The kicker is... (more)
There have been a couple of recent questions on PH about paleo and hair loss and some of the people who answered said it was a common paleo problem. I didn't know this and was curious to whether it is actually true. So I wanted to ask, since... (more)
I'm on a medication where two of it's most common side effects are insomnia and irritability. I'm wondering if I should supplement something to help fight my general, daily irritability otherwise I may piss off my colleagues :) Any... (more)
Hi all, I started the paleo diet about 5 weeks ago. I've maybe had grains a few times - I would say I've eaten paleo for 90% of the time. The first week after an initial detox, I felt great. For the last 3 weeks I've had terrible digestive... (more)

I do not seem to be able to tolerate any amount of additional vitamin D anymore. It being October, I could sense that I was losing my verve, and decided to start taking it again -- I had last taken it in March. I have kept a meticulous symptom... (more)
This may be a vitamin D receptor gene issue - yup there are genes for that. Persons with autoimmune problems / chronic inflammation (like sarcoidosis) may have defects at these genes. This makes it harder vitamin D to enter cells and harder for... (more)

I had a friend in college who only smoked cigarettes when at a bar. I had another friend who only smoke pot if a friend gave it to him for free: he would never buy it. If I do paleo at home (80%), but eat whatever when traveling or out with... (more)

Other than perhaps cramping, has anyone experienced any other effects/problems from having potassium and/or sodium out of whack? Just curious, Mike
I work in a restaurant kitchen with no AC. On hot days it can be over 100 and that is without standing in front of the fryer/melter/stove. I then crave weird foods and pour so much salt on my food that you'd think I was insane.

If it is sunken as in hollow looking, I would say that's as a result of fat loss paired with anti-inflammation. If it's a sagging cheek, go to the doctor. Could be Bell's palsy or even a stroke.
