Paleo people in San Diego?

Just wanted to know if there's anybody in San Diego out there that are going or trying to go Paleo?

Here's a little SD gluten free and Paleo guide...

Favorite Pizza(gluten free):

http://www.frescosd.com/ http://www.extremepizza.com/

Favorite bakeries(gluten free):

http://www.2good2b.com/ (Pecan Pie is to die for; strictly for cheat days)

Favorite breakfast(gluten free; Paleo friendly):

http://www.themissionsd.com/

Favorite Restaurant(Paleo friendly):

http://farmhousecafesd.com/ (flat iron steak is awesome) http://thelinkery.com/

I would like to explore some other options here in San Diego, but I haven't really ventured much out of my own kitchen...

That's a nice splurge! I have yet to try it at home either but it's on my To Do list. :) It will be covered in bacon.

I'll take a little Farmhouse Cafe any day of the week...especially since its a half mile from my house. Doesn't get better than that! :) I'm not saying "dont try it", but be careful with the gluten free pizza. The restaurant made GF pizzas never sit well with me (it could be the gluten exposed equipment the pizza is made on, fillers in the crust, or all of the above). I prefer to stick to the homemade GF pizza...its my Sunday football splurge.

The Linkery and Farmhouse Cafe are both excellent. I'll add another to the list, give Sea Rocket Bistro a shot; you wont be disappointed. Also, "The Range" opened recently and they offer some paleo-friendly options (although I have no idea about the type of cooking oil they use).

If I'm at work and I'm forced out to lunch I try and recommend Tender Greens.

Furthermore, I feel bad for saying this, but be careful about the GF pizza from ZPizza. Its made myself and another paleohacker pretty sick after trying it.

I'm a fellow paleo San Diegan.. I have never tried any of those gluten free pizza options. Are they really any any good?

I also recommend the Lotus Cafe in Encinitas. While they are more geared toward vegetarians and vegans, their animal ingredients are thoughtfully sourced (local, free range chicken and eggs, though I'm unsure of their diet). Starlite on India street also sources decent quality food- 60-90% of their ingredients are local/organic/sustainable/non-conventionally raised, etc.

There need to be more restaurants like the Farmhouse Cafe!! I wish they'd open one in north county.

There is a wonderful company called Pete's Paleo located in OB. They offer fantastic pre-made paleo meals that have a focus on using fresh, local produce. I would definitely check them out at petespremadepaleo.com if you love great food that's ready when you are!

There is a farmers market every Wednesday (I think) at Ocean Beach. They sell gluten-free stuff and really delicious and fresh veggies and fruits there.
