I know that there are a lot of you who workout in the morning in a fasted state, and I have also been doing that for the last few years however, I have just discovered that I have very low cortisol upon rising (when it should be the opposite) and that this is affecting my adrenals. Part of correcting this is ensuring that I eat in the morning before training. I have about a 30 minute window from waking to training and I was hoping for ideas on what to eat for those of you who eat prior to an early morning workout. Thanks in advance!

I usually eat a hard boiled egg in the morning before a workout. I boil a couple in advance so I can have a quick and easy snack i n the morning. It may work for you!

I have trouble eating anything substantial early in the morning, and I don't like to workout with anything in my stomach, so the only thing I can handle is a protein shake. I don't eat a lot of shakes or bars or that kind of thing but I think this is a perfect opportunity for one.

If you want to eat something before workout you can eat some of the following things that will not affect your workout:

1. Veggie Omlet:

A simple classic omlet is the best food to consume for the people who head to the gym after breakfast.

2. Turkey leaf wrap

As you mentioned you go to the workout after 30 minutes you can consume Turkey leaf wrap 30 minutes to 1 hour before workout.

3. Cottage cheese with blueberries and melon helps in providing minerals, vitamins.

4. Nutritional Bars is also one of the sources as pre-workout snacks.
