Yes, I do feel a tad bit ashamed for asking. I used to be a recipe hoarder myself until I read rainbow fish to my daughter. I guess it's one of the shimmering scales she is keeping for herself. I'm happy with everything else she is sharing!

@Sigamagaw - most posters on here enjoy nomnompaleo.com and are gonna respect her wishes by not reposting her recipe here. BUT if somebody has a variation, adaptation, or improvement on her recipe, that's fair game ...

@Dan - Michelle Tam of nomnompaleo.com refers to a herb/spice mix on her website she calls "Magic Mushroom Powder" (which I think is just her Paleo adaptation of Mushroom Seasoning), but she doesn't provide a recipe on the website, only through her paid iPad app.

No, Caroline, she mentions it on her site, but the recipe requires the iPad app, which isn't free. @Dan, nomnompaleo.com

I think it's just her adaptation of Taiwanese Mushroom Seasoning. The ingredients are usually just salt and powdered Shitaki mushrooms and was developed as a replacement for MSG (mushrooms are high in glutamic acid so they provide the same umami flavor enhancement that MSG does).

I don't know if mine has any resemblance to hers but I use a powder that I make by whirring up dried shrooms and dried onions in the coffee grinder. Roughly 3 parts Porcini, 1 part morel, 1 part dried onion bits. I keep it in a mason jar and make sure I shake well each time i use it. Great flavor.

I respect that she wants to make money for the recipe, but I don't have an ipad. I wish she'd make an ebook or something to sell in addition.

Patty the app was recently updated to include all of the previously locked content for a different price.

Michelle Tam did mention in her 10/31/12 blog post that you should have your friend email the recipe to you if you don't have the app...so anyone with the app want to email it to this person?

I don't have the pleasure of being an iPad owner...if I did, I'd be all over that app!

Only mentioning it since Michelle herself made that statement...
