I want to add coconut milk to my coffee, and just to use in general. But every store I've checked only had coconut milk with fillers, sugar and other not good for you/ no paleo things. So I'm wondering where I could find some coconut milk that is just the milk. Stores are preferred but I'll take websites if that's the only option.
Thanks for the help

- Buy a coconut at any grocery store.
- Crack open, reserve the coconut water into blender.
- Scrape flesh into blender. Peel brown skin off flesh, first (use a carrot peeler).
- Add a cup of water to blender.
- Blend, adding more water as needed.
Enjoy fresh coconut milk!
I agree with Greymouser, the best coconut milk can only be made at home. The brown skin is generally not peeled off though(I come from a culture where coconuts are a staple food), and after blending with water, you should strain the liquid from the pulp. The liquid is the milk. You can save the pulp to make coconut flour.
The stores sell diluted coconut milk with stabilizers that ruin the flavour. After having homemade coconut milk, you will never go back to canned, unless for the convenience lol.
If you have an Asian grocery in your town, look in the freezer section. They have frozen 100% coconut milk from the Philippines at my local Asian grocer, and it's the best coconut milk ever! No fillers or additives. It must be from fairly young coconuts and it's really tasty.
The bags they freeze it in are flimsy, so if you are going to thaw it in the bag, be sure to put the bag in a bowl. But they are fine as long as they stay frozen.
Prices are reasonable too.
I like to use the frozen coconut milk, only partially thawed, to make coconut ice "cream".
I found some good coconut milk with no additives in the frozen food section of one of my local Asian markets. The package is labeled Tropics Frozen Coconut Milk and the only ingredient listed is coconut milk. It's only 1.99 for a pkg.

I've never been able to find any either. For cooking purposes, I use Let's Do Organic Creamed Coconut heated and mixed with water. You could try slicing off a chunk of that into your coffee, although I don't know how well it would mix.
i use aroy d and am so addicted to it. it has the best texture out of all the milks/creams i've found. just perfect. i can't find it in stores so i order it online.
AROY-D is a brand that's 100% - I found it in the Chinese supermarket near me as well as a Thai brand called Chaoh Prah (or something like that, I forget exactly). It comes in tins or in tetra-paks, and although its the same product the tetra-pak one is much nicer for some reason.
I live in the UK but I'm sure I've seen Americans talking about AROY-D so I think you can get it there too.
This brand used to be sold at Walmart but I don't know if they still do. coconut milk, water.
I just found some in the soy sauce aisle. It is a key food in Asian cuisine. Don't look for a jug though, it comes in a metal can.
