My wife's birthday is coming up in a few days & she wants a special treat. She loves Resse's Peanut Butter Cups, but since adopting the paleo lifestyle and eating habits, we have dropped these manufactured sweets from our diet and adventured into making our own for very special occasions.
So I am making a batch of Dark Chocolate Almond Butter Cups from Practical Paleo.
The recipe calls for either Coconut Manna, Coconut Butter, or Coconut Cream Concentrate. So I am stumped since I do not care to order through Amazon at this point.
Two questions: 1) Does "Let's Do Organic" Creamed Coconut count as one of these? 2) What is the differences between these choices (coconut manna, coconut cream concentrate, coconut butter, and creamed coconut?
Thanks for the quick answers!

if you have a food processor, you can also make your own with coconut flakes! super cheap, though it takes a while and never seems to reach quite the same smooth consistency as the store-bought coconut butter.
Coconut mana, butter, and creamed coconut are all the same thing-that is: pulverised whole coconut flesh. It contains all the fat, protein, sugar, fiber, etc...
"Coconut cream concentrate" is what the company Tropical Traditions calls it's version of the above.
However, "coconut cream" is something different. The cream, as in dairy milk, is what rises to the top if the coconut milk is not homogenized w/ a stabilizer/thickener like guar gum.
DON'T DO IT!! Coconut Butter/Cream whatever is like CRACK!!! I just ate a whole bunch of it and would eat the whole jar if I could --yummmmyyyyyy!
