Paleo Recipes Questions
Hey! Me and my brother have been paleo for what seems like an age. Since we were making so much we decided it would be good to start filming paleo recipe videos with a twist. Trying to make them interesting, quick and funny. So far we've done... (more)
I see that your recipes have the amounts of ingredients in 'cups'. What is a cup? ie What volume is it and how do I know how much coconut oil or butter goes into a cup. I'm in the UK and we just use weights for cooking.
I am putting together a paleo meal plan. I wanted to know what kind of recipes would help a Paleo newbie transition? I am including snacks and desserts as well.
Hi allMy main question: What is a good paleo recipe book (or other resource), where the recipes actually taste delicious, and are easy to prepare? (Especially looking for marinades and rubs).I've been searching for endless hours and many months,... (more)
Hi, I am looking for a best cookbook where I can get a collection of delicious paleo recipes. If you have some info about a good cookbook, then please share it :)
About a month ago I was forced into the paleo lifestyle head first because of recent discoveries of allergies to wheat, corn, rice, beef, pork, and bananas. Because of the many problems within the American medical system, it took nearly 5 years... (more)
Even before I went Primal, I was still a foodie who didn't often eat processed foods, loved to cook from scratch, and loved eating five-star food. I'm a Food Network / Cooking channel junkie! Do you have a favorite chef or food celebrity that... (more)
I like mine straight up with just sea salt and pepper -- but I also LOVE it with surprising/nuanced/subtle additions. One of my favorites is to add whole star anise to chicken broth. How about you?
I add all kinds of veggies (especially ones that NEED to be used) but I almost always add a bay leaf. Also, once done if you add some seaweed, I use wakame, and a bit of coconut aminos it is reminiscent of a lovely miso soup.u
My all time favorite is sweet potatoe lasagna!!! Here is the recipe: Sweet Potato Lasagna The Food - 2-4 sweet potatoes or yams, depending on size - 1 1/2 cups ricotta - 6oz mozzarella cheese - 1 egg - 1 can crushed tomatoes - 1 tablespoon... (more)

I'd just like to hear your baking experiences with coconut oil. When substituting for butter or vegetable oil I feel like things are coming out too dry if I use a 1-to-1 substitution. I really don't care about trying to match nutrient ratios or... (more)
I have always just substituted it 1 for 1. If it is drier for you, I'd just add more until the consistency is right. May I ask where you're getting these recipes and what flours you're using?
I have almost gotten breakfast down. But I need a veggie.. I put eggs (from fridge in shell) and bacon on a foil-lined cookie sheet and pop it into a cold oven which I set to 350. 30 minutes later breakfast is done. I have it with tea and... (more)
I eat spinach nearly every morning, though it probably wouldn't work in the oven as you described. I just toss it in a steamer basket and it's done in a few short minutes! Clean up is a breeze.
A question that often comes up in the paleo community is what to eat for breakfast. Some people, myself included, get a little tired of eggs in various forms every morning. And while I'm certainly not averse to meat and veggies at breakfast, I... (more)
I swear I used the search function many different ways before posting this question! I recently followed a link from here to a really nice looking recipe for paleo fish pie. It wasn't the one that comes up in all the google searches for "Paleo... (more)
So yeah i am currently residing at a backpackers in Melbourne (for locals: St. Kilda) and i am getting tired of eating kangaroo sausages ad raw veggies (suprisingly clean food ... ). I am looking for easy paleo recipies that can be whipped up on a... (more)
Ok, so the idea of pizza is not inherently very paleo. But some dinner ideas die hard. I gave up on trying to make good replacement bread pretty early on. But pizza...I'm still trying to make it work. Someone recently asked me to post the recipe... (more)
Diced cauliflower, mozzarella cheese, and one egg. Baked with no toppings at 350 for 12-15 min to make the crust, well, crusty. Add the toppings and return to oven for 10 min or until all items are sizzling or browned.
A lot of us have been working on our cooking skills only since we started eating Paleo, and in many cases, that wasn't too long ago. Cooking is a skill that takes a ton of practice, experimentation, and technique to master, but a lot of cooking... (more)
And are there any existing prepackaged frozen food brands that you guys use for reliable paleo eating? I want to use frozen foods so that I will always have some paleo food that is easy to make or reheat in the fridge. Thanks!
I really need answer to this question. I am on paleolithic diet for 2 weeks and I found out that cookbook is crucial for me.
After 6 months in paleo I realized that I definitely need new impulses and ideas for paleo-recipes - I already own 3 paleo-recipe books, but I would like to know your daily dishes. So I thought we could start an idea-forum here. We don't need to... (more)
I'm not a fan of drinking coconut milk, so any recipe's? It says I have to use it within 10 days. http://www.traderjoes.com/fearless-flyer/article.asp?article_id=198 UPDATE: I made some ground beef curry. This stuff isn't real coconut milk... (more)
I've never used the carton coconut milk, so am unsure of the fat content comparison to tinned, but would think that you could use it quite easily. Off the top of my head: Curried veggies: saute onion garlic, turmeric, curry, ginger, coriander in... (more)
