Liquid or solid depends on the temperature. What you want though is UNPROCESSED coconut oil, i.e. it should say "virgin", "raw", and preferably also be certified as organic. Processed coconut oil is as poisonous as margarine.

Yes, if you're entering ketosis for the first time, as soon as your mitochondria start noticing the new fuel source, they'll switch to using it, when they do, the acetone breath will go away. Takes a few days upto a week or two.
