I'm hoping someone can help. Briefly, my background is 100% paleo for 6 months prior to getting pregnant with my 2nd. My first pregnancy had minimal morning sickness. This one has been constant and much stronger. I am now 8 weeks pregnant.
There are varying opinions on what causes morning sickness but one of the most compelling I have found is that of an overloaded liver struggling to process all the additional estrogen. I am also having clusters of pimples between my eyebrows which is widely understood to relate to a congested liver.
Needless to say, I am well and truly off the paleo bandwagon at this point, instead eating anything white that I can get down. However I believe in paleo and will return to a paleo diet when the morning sickness allows. I am wondering if there are any paleo-based tips for improving liver function whilst pregnant?
The only thing I have tried so far relating to the liver is acv water, however not consistently. Any tips greatly appreciated.
