I am not being skeptic, I just have very high standards. It is easy for me to see the difference in degree of professionalism. No, they don't have a proper training. Their knowledge is limited. It does not mean that their work is useless - they have contributed to the overall movement. But none of them is properly trained to see the whole picture. Even Loren Cordain.

I follow you on the being skeptic (you always have to be), but the despising because the lack of proper training I think is strange. So you also despise Mark Sisson, Loren Cordain, Kurt Harris, Peter Hyperlipid, ... because they all don't have a proper training in the field of diet and nutrition!

I will probably be the only one who will not order his book. I think most of his books are shallow and populist. He oversimplifies the matter and is not objective enough in his writing. I really despise people who write about anthropology without any proper anthropological training. Even though he is interested in evolutionary biology, it does not equal being a trained anthropologist.

He is a professor of geography and originally his area of expertise was gall bladder salts. Of course, he states interesting facts in his books, but he makes wrong interpretations and he pre-selects them to prove his point.

My advice: take his writing with a grain of salt.
