Maybe you think you are eating 2000 calories when in fact you are doing more. I found that Intermittent fasting is more successful for me than Keto. I eat a few sweet potatoes during a week but otherwise no starches or grains.

DON'T GO INTO KETO. Paleo is not a keto diet. Keto will ruin your life. Eat plenty of fruits and veggies and ignore the sub 100 gram people. That's not Paleo. Paleo is NOT low carb. It's the right carbs.

I tend to agree with the Jaminets PHD idea that eating just below your body's glucose needs in starch and eating just enough protein to support your needs leads to the best longevity.
