Hi everyone, I am 5'4, ~130-135lbs and hovering around 30% body fat. I walk 2 miles to work every day and 2 miles home, in addition to Crossfit somewhere 4x a week before work. I'm having an extremely difficult time dropping anywhere under my... (more)
Have you found any recommendations personally helpful and started using any of them regularly? I am talking about less common things, not so much about ideas that are already widely adopted in Paleo community.
I like to do HIIT on my mountain bike as I find it's funner than any other form of HIIT exercise. I would like to know what are the symptoms of complete glycogen depletion and can it be potentially harmful to completely deplete your glycogen... (more)
Hello.I'm basically very, very out of shape. Aside from hearing from what I consider trustworthy Paleo-oriented sources that HIIT exercises often give the best results, I don't really know much about exercising in general. I weight 280 pounds,... (more)
Hi Everyone! This is my first time posting and I just want to get some feedback about what's going on to my body because I guess I'm a bit frustrated with what's going on. Anyway, I've been doing crossfit for about 10 weeks now, 3-4 times a... (more)
IMO, too much canned food. High sodium retains water. I agree also , you may be overtraining and not giving your body time to heal and it's considering itself injured and holding all calories.
Hey! So I'm not losing any weight at all on a low carb paleo diet and I'm doing this since ever, so I decided to find a workout routine that I'll stick to long-term (instead of going nuts on some fancy sport and dropping it after two weeks). ... (more)
I eat paleo, LCHF and i'm in ketosis and I practice IF skipping breaky everyday, however I've always had the problem of having to excessively clear my throat due to my saliva thickening up (it's not mucus) whenever I do HIIT (sprinting up... (more)
I am a 5'4", 30yo woman. As of today, my weight is at 139.8 and body fat 23.5%. I've been struggling in a few different areas. First off, let me say that I am a runner, however I just finished the Asheville full marathon 3 weeks ago and I have... (more)

I was wondering what nutrients become depleted during tabata workouts? What do i need to eat to replenish them, carbs, carbs and protein, nothing??? I've been doing HIIT traing for a long time, and just started doing tabata intervals, 20sec on/... (more)
Hi, Everyone. I just got my lab results from my doctor. I'm 2 months shy of the 2 year mark for eating fairly strict Paleo. I would say I'm 98% autoimmune Paleo except that I am fine with eggs and eat between 1-2 dozen per week. I eat a wide... (more)
The question speaks for itself really, which one is more effective? i've done the odd sprint 8 but i've never took burpees to high intensity before as i fricken hate 'em..haha. I suppose i would consider them if they were more effective than... (more)
Hello! So, I've had great success being (almost completely/mostly) Paleo since September. I lost 32 pounds almost immediately, and got rather skinny. Since Late January, I have been doing quite a bit of weight lifting and have really changed my... (more)
I have a friend who's just getting into high intensity interval training, but he's a little concerned about going too intense with the intervals because he doesn't know how his blood pressure medication may affect things. He's almost 50 and in... (more)
Today I am having a low carb day, <50g, because I haven't done any resistance training. I have however just been running for 15 mins in a HIIT routine. I am hoping being a low carb day and just having done the exercise, my body will burn some... (more)
Unless you're aiming for ketosis, I see no harm in adding some extra carbs for your PWO-meal. If I'm correct, a little insulin-spike could help with recovery and growth - unless you're solely looking to burn as much fat as possible.
So I am finally going to add sprints into my routine. I like the "Sprint 8" protocol and will try that out first. I just wanted to know if there were any tips/heads up from people who have done this? Either be with proper attire, nutrition,... (more)
Train BJJ 5 times a week for 2-3 hours, very cardio intense stuff. Diet is good and I supplement with whey, BCAA's, fish oil, magnesium for overall health/recovery. Thoughts on if this is good for overall health longterm. It seems the paleo... (more)

So I'm an injured (fat) cardio bunny. I've been running 10-20 miles a week for the last 20 months, including 3 half marathons. However, 3 weeks ago, I wrecked my shoulder and my consultant has strongly advised me that I won't be able to run for at... (more)
My roids have gotten better, but is it okay to do a high intensity workout like insanity, or HIIT? Im very caustious about lofting weights right now. Any advice is much appreciated
Yes. Take it easy, warm up properly and see how you feel. Gradually increase intensity until it gets to a point of discomfort. And then stop. Next time out try going a bit further
A google search led me to every possible opinion under the sun on this one. Some say it's great if you have the energy, some say you will lose muscle and strength. What's the deal? I felt great doing my 30 mins (including warmup etc) on the... (more)
I just bought a 25 pound kettlebell and have been doing three sets of as many swings as I can after finishing my weightlifting workout. I allow 30 seconds rest in between sets and am currently doing 70/40/40. It takes about 6 minutes all... (more)
