Why do I feel nauseated after eating too much coconut oil?

There's a lot of stuff on the internet saying it is "detox" symptoms or its the yeast dying off but is there any actual science behind why we feel this way? I threw up once when I ate coconut oil and a banana

Too much of any fat makes me feel nauseous.

How much coconut oil did you eat? Are we talking, like a tablespoon, or more like a cup?

+1. I hate the way that people will interpret the exact same symptoms as toxic vs. detox, based on their preconceptions about what's good for you.

You just said it yourself. "Too much" coconut oil. It's most likely because you're not used to taking so much coconut oil. Anyone will start throwing up if they suddenly start taking any kind of oil in large amount. Start small on the coconut oil because oils in general will make one feel sick especially if they're not used to it lol. A tablespoon or two a day is okay, but I doubt anyone should be chugging oil on a regular basis.

The 'detox' and 'yeast dying off' seem like junk science at best. I am sure detoxing exists but just to go "this is supposed to be good for me but I feel bad, so it must be detox!" is bad logic. I 'detoxed' and got healthier just fine without feeling sick, and I am sure that's how it should be.
