Hey everyone. Two questions here. Is an 80/20 ground beef ratio desirable vs something like 85/15 or 90/10? Cause the fattiest I can get of ground beef would be the 80/20 from trader joes.
Now anyone has any good ideas/recipes I could use with this beef? Thanks.

I use it lots of ways. Fry it up loosely with onions, garlic, pepper, and salt. Keep it in the fridge and eat on it all week. I'll heat it up in a pan with a little butter and serve it with fried eggs on top so the yolk makes a gooey sauce over it. Or, heat it up with sauteed cabbage. Sometimes I'll have the beef, cabbage, and fried eggs.
I'll fry it up with organic tomato paste, cumin, chili powder, salt, pepper, onions, garlic, and sometimes I'm daring and add chipotle or minced jalapeno. Serve it with guacamole.

80/20 is what I use. If I wind up with more lean beef, I'll add coconut oil while it's cooking.
I make a Greek-seasoned ground beef that is super tasty. (Also works great with ground turkey...maybe even better.)
Ground beef, pitted & chopped kalamata olives, diced onion, crumbled feta (if you do dairy), lots of dried oregano, salt & pepper to taste.
You can do anything with ground beef. Onions, garlic, julienned bell peppers, cumin, chili seasoning --> YUM.
Here's a dish that showed up on Food network one night that was a sort of "Hey - that's Paleo!" moment for me.
Fry up the ground beef, crumbled. Sautee some fresh baby spinach in with it, in whatever drippings that the beef produces, starting once the beef is pretty well cooked - you want the spinach to wilt but not overcook. Once you have that, break in a couple of eggs and scramble them until cooked. Season to taste - you may want to add some garlic to the mix at the same time as the spinach.
If desired and if you eat dairy, finish with grated/shredded Parmesan. Excellent breakfast.
Agree with the stirfry,just add any amount of veg,spices to the mince,once done I add tomato paste and damn I eat!

Last night, I browned some ground beef and then put baked sweet potato (without peel) on top of it. Nothing else. It was surprisingly delicious.
