Hi guys, I'm allergic to nuts, egg and fruit. Am I wasting my time attempting a Paleo diet?? I keep looking at recipes and everything is using everything I can't have. Any advice would be helpful. I'm trying to make a healthy turn in my life.

Heck no. The meat and vegetables are the best part!

Do you have the same allergy to duck eggs? The proteins are different and some people with chicken egg allergies can tolerate duck eggs.

Cook real food and stop looking at recipes. Throw what you can eat into a pan and VIOLA! supper is ready. Honestly, I view Paleo as not being about what I can't eat, but instead about what I can eat and I enjoy the heck out of it. Whatever meat, veg, and tubers you can tolerate should pass your lips!

I experiment with spices I never even new existed and have a new-found love of spicier foods. Sometimes it is definitely a miss and I make a mental not to NEVER put that combination together again and other times I have made something that I want to make over and over. Experiment!

In addition, most of the most important things (in my opinion) to eat when Paleo are meats, vegetables, and fats. Get your fill of those and monitor your vitamin and mineral levels, and you'll be fine. Better than SAD.

No, you're not wasting your time, and you're not alone. Many of us are in the same or similar boats. At first it may seem that all you see are recipes and pictures of things you can't eat, but I promise that will change. There's a whole lot out there that you can still eat.

With you allergies, Paleo could be an extremely healthy choice. Of course, it goes without saying, I hope, skip any foods or ingredients you're allergic to.

Nuts and peanuts can cause allergic reactions, which are sometimes severe. A severe reaction to nuts is called anaphylaxis and can be life-threatening. Symptoms often start quickly, within an hour of coming into contact with a nut, and sometimes within minutes.Use this drug forum to discuss more.

Nope. I'm not allergic to any of those and still survive eating paleo by avoiding those foods. What do I fill in the space with? Lots of good meats, fish, thousands of different preparations for veggies, starches like sweet potato and squash, and a million things to do with coconut (so versatile). You can brown some meat with coconut oil and add spices and veggies and there's pretty much my din every night. Sounds bland, but it's delicious.
