Eating Out Questions
This question is a bit of fun and a bit of research. If you encountered a paleo bakery & cafe what would you expect or want to find on the menu?
I realize that I am almost asking the world but I wanted to put the question out there. Do you know of any cheap and healthy food you can order out? Healthy = Paleo/Primal approved (Conventional meat and veggies is fine) that would NOT count as a... (more)
I've been on the Paleo plan for about a week and it's amazing. The scale is going down, I'm able to work out harder, and I get better sleep. It's tough to not eat out for lunch because of work. How many of you adhere to strict guidelines of only... (more)
I just finished a like 1000 calorie Korean BBQ dinner with friends. It was NOT my idea but when we sat down at a table with a grill in the middle and they started carting in the raw fatty meat and fermented veggies, I knew something AMAZING was... (more)
I think for me, when I go to a party and there's nothing but chips and processed crap. Or when working and I forget to pack a lunch and there's nothing healthy places in the area. How about you guys?
I'm having problems incorporating Paleo eating into my lifestyle. My husband and I socialize and go out to eat a lot with friends. Unfortunately he and everyone else like to indulge in bread, processed foods, wine, etc. How does everyone handle... (more)
So... yes. That is what happened. Within an hour I think.. I bring this up because I'm starting college soon in the city and I am a complete foodie. I love trying different foods and occasionally indulging in non-paleo foods. I plan on staying... (more)
I have recently figured out that I'm pretty intolerant to eggs. Considering I already don't eat grains, this discovery has made it impossible to eat typical breakfast foods. I have come up with a few "hacked" type meals that I can eat in a... (more)
I found this accidentally on the Panera Bread website when I was looking for allergens in their chicken. It is called the Panera Bread Hidden Menu and I think it is super cool for those times when you want to eat out with friends, business... (more)
Hi, I'm back again after a long absence. If you look at my previous posts and history you'll see I've gone, done and been through a lot in the past 2 years. But now that's all behind me I'm getting back on my two feet. Getting back on my two... (more)
What is the most paleo dessert when eating out? What desserts are guaranteed to have no wheat/gluten? E.g. mousse, creme brulees, cheesecake fillings?
I should start by saying I am in the UK, so my takeaway options are basically pizza, kebab, chinese, indian or fish and chips. I totally veto pizza generally, i know chinese dishes are almost all full of sugar and soy, kebabs are incredibly... (more)
What's wrong with a kebab? Even if the meat isn't in its original structure, I never knew a kebab to be anything other than meat and seasonings, possibly marinated in yogurt depending on the kebab.
I'm getting to the point of not wanting to eat out anymore. This is happening every time I eat anywhere even though I feel like ordering simple, real food SHOULD be easier! Today I ordered: steak w/ roasted tomato/sweet onion sauce on top and... (more)
Among the popular salad dressings that are widely available, which ones are relatively paleo-friendly? Thanks!
OMG, so many places in TO are meat-centric and locally-sourced these days. You could cobble together a Paleo meal pretty much anywhere. The Black Hoof on Dundas is a must-try for nose-to-tail dining.
Yes, yes I know. Another eating-out question. Bear with me. I have been on a journey to find the best places to eat-out in my area. Seems chains aren't the way to go but certain types of restaurants or cafes are better than others. What type of... (more)

As anyone who follows Paleo/Primal/PHD knows, eating out is tough. You can always count it as your cheat meal but cheat meals can affect how you feel and I want to feel as good as possible. So, where do you eat and what do you order that does not... (more)
Barbecue. You can get a plate of brisket, sauce on the side, skip the fries (which are likely fried in veg. oil) and the slice of bread, and use your own discretion on the pickle. (this is BBQ served Kansas City style, btw - YMMV).
I travel A LOT for work, so I have to eat out like 10 times a week. I'm used to asking servers to substitute out the potatoes, leave the sauce on the side, hold the bread, or even "I don't eat gluten or any grains whatsoever". However, I... (more)
