CAN YOU BE CONSTIPATED YET REGULAR?

Types 1 and 2 on the chart below indicate constipation.

If you have type 1 & 2 movements every morning, can you be considered constipated?

How did modern cavemen manage to survive without classifying their poop?

Yes, you can be non-constipated, and have effortless daily bowel movements, but with hard, dry stool.

I experienced this myself recently, and found that caffeine was causing the problem.

This can happen to me for two reasons:

1) My magnesium is low or non existant.

2) Dehydrated, or at least drinking the wrong fluids (IE summer time ice tea or Pepsi, which seems to make me not crave fluids other than..Pepsi.

It does indeed happen, especially to me this time of year...It's what I never call "The colon summer time blues."
