I am a paleo newbie who is trying to conquer constipation, elevated cholesterol (, and eliminate problems with anxiety. Fortunately, my weight is good, but I could stand to add some muscle :>)
From the research I have done on this site, I've learned I need to pump up the fat, and lower my protein and carb intake. I see the best approach is to eat lots of home made broths.
With this in mind:
- What kind of bones should I ask the butcher for? Just oxtail? How about ribs?
- Do I skim the grease from the cooked product?
- I plan to use a crock pot. To maximize the nutrition, do I cook on low for longer time or on high for shorter time?
- Can I assume ALL the above can be alleviated this way? If not, what do you suggest?
