(at least I do) I have found over my time period of eating paleo that when I feel really really crappy I tend to worry less about eating chocolate or potatoes or going a bit off the beaten path. I wonder if there is any research as to why we do... (more)
Hi, I am very strict paleo for 6 days a week. Usually do the Sisson type menu- eats few fruits, lots of veggies, big dinner with a good cut of meat etc. However I found when I add one cheat day it just speeds up my metabolism like crazy and I... (more)
Hi guys, I've been trying the autoimmune protocol for about 3 months now and had great success. As long as I stick to it, a very strict version, I am pretty much completely symptom free of Chron's. My question is about reintroducing certain... (more)
I started my Paleo lifestyle almost a week ago and I've gone from 183lbs to 178lbs. I plan on sticking with this way of eating for a long time, I definitely feel better about myself already and I don't really have the cravings that I did the first... (more)
I spent 4 straight weeks only Paleo - doing amazing! Then, started traveling for work again. What is the best way to get back to the results I was seeing in the shortest timeframe?
I'd like to know how much cheating on your diet you guys can afford, without feeling like shit. Let me elaborate. I've been yo-yo ing between a sort-of-paleo diet and crap diet for the last few years. I tried sort-of-paleo to see wether this... (more)
Not that I want to, but ever since I got back from a 4 month trip abroad I meant to go eat a big juicy burger from Five Guys, bury my nose in donuts and cheesecake. But for some reason, I just can't bring myself to do it. Is this a normal habit... (more)
Standing rib roast, Salmon Roe, Jalapeno poppers wrapped in bacon instead of batter, Cheese plate, Veggie tray, Roasted Chestnuts, Wild boar salami With that list why cheat?
Lately I just can't seem to stop cheating. a "yolo" food now and then is one thing, but I seriously can't stay on the wagon longer than five seconds lately. None of my usual tricks for not cheating have been working lately. Do any of you have any... (more)
I have been tryin to stick to a paleo diet , grains or legumes is not the problem for me , i literally never crave them . However i am constantly binging on dairy foods , mainly pizza , ice cream and cheese wontons from the chinese restaurant ,... (more)
pizza , ice cream and cheese wontons.., general tso chicken BTW, all three are heavy in grains and sugars which are far worse (imo) than dairy. Perhaps you are using these as cravings for wheat/sugar unknowingly...
I've read all the big words (that I can never remember) why we need to carb up if we are following a LC or VLC to chew up some body fat reserves to reduce our body fat % However if our ancient ancestors didn't have easy access to carb dense... (more)
For any of you out there who doesn't know anyone who is paleo, I bet you guys can relate. So it's my friend's birthday next week, and we're going out for a meal. Brilliant, I thought. Only it turns out it's a 'set meal'. So for starters it's... (more)
You will be fine. 80/20 rule applies - you need to enjoy life too.
I'll admit it; I do. I'll be clean for 5 or 6 days, and then I'll succumb to Chick-Fil-A. Then the next week, maybe some rice and beans. The next week, pizza. Nine months paleo, but I will honestly say I haven't gone 30 days gluten free, at the... (more)
For me, it was cheese and pizza (which of course has cheese). I honestly don't miss the rest much (unless I'm sitting next to someone who has a steaming, decadent looking bread roll) Otherwise, I am happy with the food we eat. What was the most... (more)
Three months paleo (some days good, some days...not so good), I have seen results, lost almost 10lbs, but I'm in it for the long haul. And some days, I cheat. Like, hard core. I kick myself and get upset, but then start a new day, but some days I... (more)
Hi! I am thinking about starting a Paleo lifestyle, or at least try whole30 (for general better health (I have IBS, migraines and random/vague pains) and weight loss), but I am not 100% sure yet. I thought "trying won't hurt", but now I am reading... (more)
I'm hoping to get back to the basics of paleo and start with a couple of weeks going very low carb (<20 if I can stand it, <50 if I can't). I'll bring some more carbs in after that. I'm feeling pretty shitty because I've been cheating quite... (more)
The past years I had these nostalgic feelings towards eating SAD: enjoying it, without having to worry about my sufferings afterwards (which were present, I just didn't know), etc.... And from time to time I fell of the Paleo wagon or whatever... (more)
I have seen a lot of questions asking why people started on the paleo journey, but my question is more about why people may be holding back from 100% paleo, or or what made people give it 100%? I see a lots of posts on here where people say "I'm... (more)
I hear people talk about the "80 / 20" way of eating Paleo, and when I they admit to what the other 20% is, it's usually that they eat potatoes, some sort of dairy product, or even just a chocolate bar. I haven't heard anyone admit to eating any... (more)

Could you bring it to your workplace and share it with co-workers? If you have an office desk, you could place it out and people could just grab some of it when they stop by. Or if you have a break room, you could bring it there.
So, I eat pretty much 100% paleo when I'm on my own, at work, at home. But, me being the non-wavemaker that I am, I eat whatever I'm given when I am at someone else's house. The first three months, I was quite strict even when going out. This... (more)
You probably just have a fully functioning digestive system. A lot of us who have issues when we stray have guts that aren't completely healthy and therefore can't really bounce back as quickly from an indulgence.
So, I've always been about 99% with the paleo, but I just discovered that fresh fava beans are being sold RIGHT OUTSIDE my doorstep. I just had a big bowl with tons of ghee, and it was the most satisfying meal I can remember having... ever. But... (more)
Sometimes I do want to splurge and get a deli sandwich for lunch (I still do think the sandwich is one of the best inventions ever). The question is, which kind is the lesser of all evils - wheat, multi-grain, rye, pumpernickel, a wrap? Some of... (more)
My husband and I have been eating 80/20 Primal for a couple of years. We both have noticed that when we eat "cheat" foods or eat a lot of carbs, we tend to feel sick or jittery in a way that never occurred before. For example, pizza never used to... (more)
