I need to eat eat well, for cheap. people throw out cheap paleo lists that are 4 or 5 times my maximum budget. Can eating pale or pseudo pale be done on the cheap?

You can get huge bags of potatoes pretty cheap in the right places and it's a lot better than rice but I'm sure not as cheap. They also don't last as long but you look like a big eater. Some beans here and there can't hurt too if you soak them but I don't go through the trouble so screw beans.
Butter is better than coconut IMO if it's going to be a primary calorie source. Isn't it cheaper too? Not sure. No scientific reason, it just makes more sense to run your body on animal fat than exotic coconut oils. It's closer to the fat your body produces itself. I know I feel like a million bucks after a couple ounces of butter and a bit of potato but not quite as good on rice fried/drenched in coconut oil (yeah I've tried both meals).
Then you can get your protein from cheap ass drum sticks, ground beef, and canned tuna. I'm thinking you must eat a lot of protein. Some Mexican and Asian markets have cheap meat...
